This sampler was inspired by the the graceful horsemanship of George Washington as well as one of his horses, Blueskin. Sampler was stitching on 36 ct linen and uses Weeks Dye Works, Classic Colorworks and DMC Floss (conversion to DMC has also been provided). Stitch count is 123w x 121h. Pattern designed by Plum Street Samplers and includes full color picture, black and white charts and materials list.
George Washington used two horses during the Revolutionary War: Nelson and Blueskin. Blueskin was the more skittish of the two, but both horses served him well, and retired with him at Mt. Vernon after the war.
