Having 3 needle sizes and 12 gauge options offers more variety in the floss, yarn and ribbons. Below is a guide to the sizes and materials you can use:
SMALL: Works with DMC Floss, 2 to 3 strand embroidery floss, satin and Luster yarn
MEDIUM: works with 3 to 6 strands floss, acrylic punch yarn, 6 ply metallic, acrylic punch yarn plus a single strand metallic, some light weight pearl cotton and ribbon floss
LARGE: works with 2 strands of acrylic punch yarn, mix two colors of acrylic punch yarn and brush for a different color, 1/8th wide silky ribbon, mid-weight pearl cotton, one acrylic and a 6 strand metallic
While it is possible to punch on a variety of materials, one of the industries favorite is Weaver's Cloth. Weaver's Cloth is a tightly woven cotton polyester blend fabric designed specifically to hold punch needle loops in placed, but thin enough to trace your design pattern easily on to the surface. Orders will be processed within 1-3 business days unless otherwise noted in the description of the product.
We do everything possible to keep shipping costs to a minimum. There are times when the shipping prices may be higher at the time of ordering than it truly is at the time of shipping. We will refund back to you the difference of the cost in the way we deem best, whether return through PayPal or check included with your order.
There may also be times when we have to ship in multiple boxes and will have to charge accordingly. We will notify you if we need to charge additional shipping prior to actually shipping out your order. Payment is required prior to shipment of any and all orders.
We do not always ship Priority Mail since that is not always the most economical way to ship. If you need to have your parcel received by a specific date, additional fees may need to be applied to the cost of your order.
In most cases, we DO ship First Class mail using tracking. We do NOT ship First Class mail in letter or legal envelopes even if the purchase fits. This is for your protection (as well as ours) in order to track lost or missing packages. We DO NOT make exceptions to this policy.
International Shipping: We do not collect any customs when sending packages. Any custom fees, taxes, tariffs, duties, etc. that may be incurred at the time of delivery would be at the discretion of your country's tax regulations. We have no way of calculating how much these fees would be, should they occur, and Farmers Attic is not responsible for those charges. For any additional information refer to your local customs agency.

Your request must be made upon receipt of your merchandise and shipped back to us within 30 days of receiving it and in the original packaging. REFUNDS do not include the shipping or return shipping. Patterns are NOT REFUNDABLE in order to protect the copyright of the designer.
FABRIC RETURNS: Because the fabric has been cut from the bolt, refunds and exchanges are not accepted. As is the case with all natural fibers, there may be variations seen throughout the bolt. These are not flaws but are due to the processing methods.

Please be aware that due to the nature of handmade items and the availability of fabrics, florals, etc., there may be variations from those shown in the photographs. CUSTOM ORDERS are always welcome. The Farmer's Attic requires 75% deposit (non-refundable) of total cost prior to starting your custom order. The final payment of 25% plus all shipping costs are required prior to shipping your custom order to you. Every effort to communicate with you from start to finish will be made so that you can follow the process of your custom order. Custom orders are non-refundable. Final invoice for custom orders must be paid within 30 days of receipt. Three attempts will be made to collect balance due. If payment is not made within 30 days of receipt, items will be returned back into stock for resale unless other arrangements have been made.
